Well I don’t want to portrait the BBQ in details, incase that makes you feel hungry, but will just feature one scene, that I found quite interesting.
Starting from about 1:00 pm, half an hour after the BBQ began, people all started saying: “I am so full, can’t eat any more!”, but funny enough, nobody stopped eating. So just picture that a bunch of people gathering on the balcony, both hands holding food, saying “I am too full” with their mouth stuffed, hilarious!
Me, of course, was one of them. With so many different kinds of food, I just couldn’t know which kind to reject. I was a funny character of that funny picture too, probably one of the outstanding kind, holding a few meat sticks, chewing, drinking and walking around, meanwhile busy observing, watching others being funny.
Here are my findings:
Some who claimed to be full were definitely lying, they were just too shy, and didn’t want to give others the impression that they eat too much. They can be ugly at home, but will try to remain “civilized” in public. So by “I am so full”, actually they mean “I am getting there, can only have 3 more chicken wings, 4 more stakes, 5 more sausages and 6 cans of beer ”Men were mostly of this type.
The rest were mostly women. When they say they were full, they actually mean it. But the interesting phenomenon was that in the end, when most men surrendered and stopped eating, the soldiers left in the battle were all women.
Women’s stomachs are made of rubber, and men’s are made of plastic. Appears so.
But all because they want it that way.
Nobody wants to waste food, but the difference is: men put themselves as No 1, and are clear about what they want, and won’t force themselves to do things they don’t think necessary, whereas women put themselves as the last one, and will easily sacrifice for anything, no matter it worth it or not. In this case, women choose to sacrifice their stomachs for the food.
